Alfredo is a PhD Researcher in Data Science at Hanyang University. His research focuses on datasets, annotation pipelines, and human-in-the-loop AI, driven by a commitment to ensuring that communities most affected by AI systems are also the ones who shape them. He joined the AfriCHI community in 2025 and, through his research in African language technology, community-driven data infrastructure, and collaborative work across the continent, he remains dedicated to growing HCI research, practice, and community in Africa.
