Bio
Chinonyelum is a medical doctor and researcher whose work sits at the intersection of clinical AI, human-computer interaction, and AI safety. She holds an MBBS from the University of Ibadan and has contributed to peri-operative decision-support research at Aalto University's Computational Behavior Lab (under Prof. Oulasvirta and Kompatscher), alongside ML research at Emory University's Healthcare Innovation and Translational Informatics Lab. Her core interest is in defining, evaluating, and governing AI systems in healthcare to ensure they are safe, fair, and clinically meaningful with a particular focus on how clinicians interact with and are impacted by these systems.
