Bio
Currently a faculty at the University of Greenwich, London, Dr Makuochi S. Nkwo has demonstrable interdisciplinary research and teaching experiences in the UK and Africa. He works at the intersection of HCI, Responsible AI, and Digital Ethics and Governance where he employs human-centered approaches to design ethically responsible solutions for the UN’s SDGs. Dr Nkwo has published impactful research articles in A-listed journals and conferences including ACM CHI, CSCW, AfriCHI, JCSS, IEEE SeGAH, etc, and has won multiple research grants and awards, including from Alan Turing Research Institute, London. He is the Co-Founder of Responsible AI Across Borders (RAIxB) network, where we aim to advance scientific understanding of human-centred AI governance and its implementation across diverse application areas and contexts.
